Career-Actor/Model
The guy who literally took swayed us away with his dancing skills in Step Up and his Romeo act in The Vow was born in Alabama. Tatum was an athlete while growing up, playing football, soccer, track, baseball, and performing martial arts. He is probably one of the very few actors who even after gaining a worldwide recognition as an actor, still maintains a rather low profile and manages to stay out of the tabloids at all times.
An athlete to model to actor
Tatum who spent most of his childhood mastering the ‘sportive’ skill, played a lot of sports including, football, track and baseball. He also excelled in martial arts. As a child, he practised Wuzuquan Kung Fu under the tutelatge of the 10th dan Grandmaster Chee Kim Thong. In his school days, he was voted most athletic person, in the year 1998. His good looks don’t just come because of his hard work, did you know that his ancestral roots can be traced back to English, Scott-Irish, French, German and possibly Native American.
Later, he dropped out of school and started working as a stripper in a local night club, from where he got the ideas for his movie Magic Mike. After which he moved to Miami to work as a model talent scout. His experience in the fashion industry began as a model working for such noted clients such as Armani and Abercrombie & Fitch. He soon moved into television commercials, landing national spots for Mountain Dew and Pepsi in 2002. He got his breakthrough when he was cast in Vogue by Al David. After which he got featured brands like Dolce & Gabbana, American Eagle Outfitter and Armani. Tatum also signed with Ford Models after this stint with success. He was picked as one of Tear Sheet magazine’s ‘50 Most Beautiful Faces’ of October 2001.
Tatum began his acting career in 2004, appearing in an episode of the television series CSI: Miami. His first feature film role was in 2005′s high school drama, Coach Carter, playing Jason Lyle, a street smart basketball player. He first got his break in acting when he co-starred in director Kimberly’s Stop-Loss. Tatum also played in the short film The Trap by Rita Wilson and thus began his journey in to the world of celluloid.

Tatum gets a lot of attention for his looks but in 2012 the actor proved that he’s also one of Hollywood’s smartest businessmen. He is listed among the top paid Hollywood, among other names such Robert Downey Jr. and Hugh Jackman. His gross earnings have increased to $60 million per year. Tatum and director Steven Soderbergh self-financed the movie Magic Mike, based partially on Tatum’s past as a male stripper. So when the $7 million film hit it big at the box office, they each took home millions. Now Tatum is growing Mike into a franchise complete with a Broadway show, a proposed bar in New Orleans and a sequel in the works. Tatum delved into the restaurant business with the opening of a highly rated eatery called Saints and Sinners on New Orleans’ famed Bourbon Street, last fall.
Tatum also has a production company that he started with three friends and wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum called 33&Out Productions, Inc..
Tatum has been added to the cast of writer/director/producer Michael Mann‘s 2009 crime drama Public Enemies, in which will play the ill-fated 1930s American gangster Pretty Boy Floyd.
All that money bought me
Channing Tatum bought himself a luxurious villa in the Hollywood Hills. The actor acquired for a decent price of $2.59 million. He presently resides there with his wife Jenna Dewan. Tatum’s home was once owned by famous Hollywood director Ron Shelton for a few years during the nineties decade, before he sold it off to the family from whom the actor acquired it.
Also, the actor was seen in some heavily priced vehicles, such as the vintage Chevy Truck Apache and the most stylish SUV Cadillac Escalade.
My one true love
Channing Tatum, met his actress Jenna Dewan on the sets of the movie Step Up in the year 2006. The leading duo started dating after filming the movie, who later got engaged in the year 2008 and got married a year later.
Charity time
