Charles Otto “Charlie” Puth Jr. or Charlie Puth as we all know, was born on December 2, 1991 in Rumson, New Jersey, United States. His biggest hit is “See You  Again” which landed him on the top charts and is earning billions of views in YouTube. Just recently, this new artist in the block has moved to his freshly bought $1.9 million Hollywood Hills’ mansion.

PERSONAL BACKGROUND:

Charlie’s parents are Mr. Charles Puth and Mrs. Debra Puth. He has two siblings, Stephen his brother, and Mikaela his sister. They all lived together in Rumson until Charlie had to move to LA after graduating from Berklee in 2013 because of his career. Puth said the he came out to L.A. to be a songwriter and not an artist, and that he was so excited because he always secretly wanted to be an artist.

Many fans wonder if Charlie shaves his eyebrow because they thought it is some kind of fashion statement he likes. However, little did we know that this “shaved” eyebrow has a long history. Puth revealed the story how he got this eyebrow. He was 2 years old when he had an accident which lead to a head trauma – an incident where he could have died. The scar on his eyebrow was given to him by a dog who bit him and happened to scratch that part of his face. Charlie says that he likes to think that the scar gives him some character.

CAREER:

A big contribution to his net worth came from his first studio album “Some Type Of Love” released in May 2015. The release of his collaboration with Wiz Khalifa, “See You Again,” which was also a part of “Furious 7″ soundtrack was a big success. He is known for “Marvin Gaye”, “See You Again”, and “One Call Away”. He is also constantly in the Billboard top 100 where he has topped the list for five weeks with “See You Again”.

One fun fact about Puth’s career is when Ellen invited him to sing to her own record label. The funny thing there is that Charlie thought someone was just pranking him, so he hung up his phone! He finally got signed later.

Whitley Heights’ Mansion

Whitley Heights’ residents will be saying See You Around to Charlie Puth because he purchased a $1.9 million mansion there. The three-story Italianate-inspired design property was built in the 1956 and has undergone a lot of renovations. It has an open-plan living areas, a media room and a custom wine cellar. The rows of French doors give way to multiple terrace balconies around the place. The property has a nice covered and tiled patio that is placed above a swimming pool and a spa. The mansion also features a modern kitchen with a wide breakfast bar leading to a living/dining room.

Puth is still starting with his journey as an artist but has already achieved. When asked about his success, he says that he owes it to Paul Walker.

AWARDS:

In 2015, Puth won Choice Music: R&B/Hip-Hop Song and Choice Music: Collaboration in the Teen Choice Awards. Also in the same year,  Charlie won Song – Feature Film in the Hollywood Music in Media Awards. In 2016, he won Best Song in the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards. That same year, he was nominated for Song of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best Song Written for Visual Media in the Grammy Awards.
