Ranbir Kapoor, the name itself is enough to catch attention of youngsters. He is the one who belongs to the fourth generation of the most prestigious and eminent family of the Bollywood Industry: ‘The Kapoor’. He was gifted as a son of Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh on September 28, 1982 in Mumbai. He is being entitled as the Chocolate Boy and most stylish actor of the film Industry. He is the grandson of the most esteemed actor Raj Kapoor and turns out to be his shadow only.

Schooling and Beyond:

Ranbir completed his schooling from the Bombay Scottish School. He opted this school for its attractive and colorful website.  He barely managed to pass through all his standards and was the first one from the Kapoors to pass tenth grade. He after attending HR College moved to the Lee Strasberg Institute and School of Visual Arts in New York for pursuing courses in acting and directions. He learned here various acting skills and made about 300 short movies.

Journey Started:

Ranbir Kapoor embarked his career in film Industry as an assistant with Sanjay Leela Bhansali and helped him in the production of BLACK in 2005. After this, Sanjay appointed him as a lead role in ‘Saawariya’ along with Sonam Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee. It was a big flop on the box office but he gained a lot of attention from critics. In 2008, he came up with the comedy movie ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ which went average at the box office. In 2009, he acted in ‘Wake Up Sid’ along with ‘Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani’, which was a big success for him. In 2010, he proved his versatility through his film ‘Rajneeti’, a blockbuster movie of the season.  With ‘Rockstar’ in 2011, he was exposed to the people with a personality of conviction and confidence. Later on he did many films which showed him ups and downs, but ‘Barfi’ proved to be one of the success stone in his career where he portrayed himself as the mute guy with the mute girl Priyanka Chopra. Recently, he was seen in ‘Besharam’ which got a mixed response from critics.

Relationships and Rumors:

Ranbir Kapoor is often tagged as the flirty boy of the Industry and is always found dating many beautiful girls. Ranbir publicly confessed that he was in a hurry to tie a bond, but he dropped his plan when his friend Ayan Mukherjee, film director advised him to concentrate on his career rather than involving himself with all such stuffs. Ranbir Kapoor dated his co-actor Deepika Padukone for a year, which is like a melted cake and is currently said to have a relationship with Katrina Kaif.

Relaunching Of RK films:

Ranbir has a big dream of re-launching the production house RK Films which was previously owned by his grandfather Raj Kapoor. He always preferred to keep silent but his father Rishi Kapoor spelled out the remake of Awara in one of his interviews. They found it as the best way to re-launch this production house. In the remake of Awara, Ranbir and his father are going to take the roles of his grandfather Raj Kapoor and Prithviraj Kapoor. They are going to make this re-launching most reviving and lively. 

Awards and Achievements:

Ranbir, in his eight year career won many awards and has an outstanding performance. In 2007, he was awarded with the best Newcomer of the year.  In 2008, he won Glam Debutant for Saawariya and Stardust Superstar for Tomorrow Award. In 2009, he was chosen as the Sexiest Man Alive Award by people. In 2010, he was awarded with the Apsara Award of the Year and Again Stardust Superstar of Tomorrow for Ajab Prem ki Gazab Kahani.

Spare Time Activities:

Apart from acting, he has various other interests. He loves to play football and chess whenever he gets free time. Interestingly, he has plans to become a football coach after his retirement from the Industry. He likes to watch Travel and Living in his leisure time and loves to spend time with his family and friends including his dogs. Movies of Stalwart such as Guru Dutt enhanced his knowledge about films. Like every other Kapoor, he is also fond of food. He loves ‘Ghar Ka Khana’ the most. Ranbir has been in the news since he made his first step in the film Industry. As he is the most dashing and renowned names in the movie industry so rumors are just common. He comes into controversies sometimes just due to his own deeds or sometimes due to the statement made by some other person. Once in Koffee With Karan, Deepika Padukone made a statement saying Ranbir should endorse condoms. This statement invited a heated argument thereafter. Ranbir once hooked up with Katrina in Spain and their clicks were distributed by some tourist there. This was enough to pull media over him and put a flash over the whole story.
